According to friends and colleages, I am "diversity personified." Whether I'm shooting rich gourmet dishes for the food section of the alternative weekly Creative Loafing, documenting the multifarious Latino community of Charlotte, North Carolina, or catching the climax of a rock show, my lenses capture a world vibrant with colors and textures.
I was born to Hungarian parents in Caracas , Venezuela, and grew up in a tri-lingual household (Spanish, English and Hungarian). When I was 12, my family settled in South Florida, where I cultivated interests that continue to define my life and work.
My dad, an amateur photographer for more than 30 years, introduced me to photography when I was a little girl, and I haven't looked back since. During my senior year in high school, I would skip Physics class just to spend another hour in the darkroom. I continued exploring photography in college.
Since 2002, I have photographed weddings, children, food, fashion and entertainment. Between 2002 and 2007, I was the official photographer for the popular Charlotte-based Latin rock band La Rua. I have also photographed, among others, the Rolling Stones, Mana, Enanitos Verdes, Hombres G and Los Amigos Invisibles.
My food and fashion work appear regularly in Creative Loafing and The Charlotte Observer. |
